Wellington-based Ashlee Bond (ISR) added to her victory tally with Comme Ci Comme Ca, a nine-year-old Irish-bred mare (Comme Il Faut 5 X Diarado) owned by Agrippina Farms, in the $10,000 Palm Beach Equine Clinic Grand Prix during the Wellington International Annual Series at Equestrian Village on Sunday.

The fastest of four double-clear rounds over courses designed by Hector Loyola, Bond and Comme Ci Comme Ca pocketed their fifth win of the 2026 Annual Series with a jump-off time of 38.113 seconds. The closest challenger, Taylor St. Jacques, and Gold Du Rouet settled as runner-up in 39.072 seconds for owner Bridlegate Farm. Rounding out the podium, Abigail McArdle and Olympia van het Eikenhof, owned by Sweetwater Jumpers, placed third in 40.179 seconds.
“In my mind, I was riding for second or third—I wasn’t too crazy on my turns—but she’s so naturally fast,” said Bond. “She always delivers.”
After developing the mare on the derby field at Equestrian Village throughout the summer, Bond will soon face Comme Ce Comme Ca at the three-star international offerings coming up at the main Wellington International grounds. ”We have focused on building confidence and getting good rounds, so this summer has been amazing.
“It’s my last time showing on the field, which is a little bittersweet,” continued Bond, who is a previous winner of the Rolex Grand Prix on the Equestrian Village derby field in 2022. “I’ve had a lot of big moments on this field, but I was able to test ride on the new derby field [at Wellington International], and it’s phenomenal. I’m really excited to start competing on it.”
