Great Charity Challenge
Great Charity Challenge - Past Events
Since its founding in 2009 by Mark Bellissimo and Paige Bellissimo, the Great Charity Challenge sponsored by Fidelity Investments® (GCC) has become a powerful tradition of community giving in Palm Beach County. Hosted annually at Wellington International during the Winter Equestrian Festival, the event combines world-class equestrian sport with philanthropy, creativity, and family-friendly entertainment. Each year, riders compete in a team relay format on behalf of randomly drawn nonprofit organizations, creating an exciting and meaningful evening where sport directly supports local causes.
Over the years, the GCC has grown into one of the most anticipated nights of the winter season, bringing together donors, sponsors, riders, and community members in support of organizations serving Palm Beach County. Through the generosity of this community, the event has distributed more than $26.4 million to 384 nonprofit organizations, strengthening programs that provide essential services in areas such as healthcare, education, food security, youth development, arts, and animal welfare. The Past Events page celebrates these milestones and the many organizations whose work continues to make a lasting impact across the region.
Every charity selected to compete in the Great Charity Challenge is guaranteed to win a donation to support their cause. All participating charities are required to utilize 75% of their funds in Palm Beach County, so these donations directly impact the community.
The GCC review committee compiles fund use reports every quarter following the event. We invite you to scroll down to see some of the most recent ones.
